I spent two weeks on Bamboo Island! It's what I consider to be tropical paradise. I've just gone through the islands in Thailand and I still long to be back there on Koh Russei. It's good you're going now because the guesthouse Koh Ru and the island in general will be completely changed by a resort being built in April. You won't find white sand, rather, it's a lovely shade of gold/yellow and it squeaks when you walk.
